NOTD: A Stripe of Orange

Every now and then I try not to use a blue nail polish when polishing my nails. That's how I ended up with a nail art featuring a nude base and a stripe of orange. Quite simple, yet a bit more special than just bare nails. Just how I like my nails lately!

As a base I used a polish from Catrice's Ultimate Nudes collection, 080 Sing: Oh, Champs-Élysées. I would not recommend this polish. I bought the polish more than a year ago, but using it again, I remembered why I had barely used it before: I needed at least four (!) of the polish to get good coverage. As a result, the polish isn't even and even two layers of top coat won't help. Nope, won't be using this one again.

The stripe of orange is a much better nail polish, but the coverage unfortunately isn't that good as well. That's why I don't use it as a normal polish, but prefer to use it with an accent nail.

I bought this polish in Las Vegas, after having seen it in an Inglot shop in Rome the year before. There was only one bottle left in that shop in Rome, the tester, and the shop assistant refused to sell that one to me. I then wrote down the number of the colour (which is 310, in case you would like to know (; ) and when I heard we would be visiting Las Vegas on our road trip through the west of the US, I knew that was my chance to lay my hands on that colour! I just love it when nail polish gives you such nice memories!

What does your nail style look like right now? Simple, plain or distinctive? :D
