I've always loved a bit of artistic nail art, as early readers of the blog might remember. The past two years or so I haven't had much time to do much nail arting, but finally I've found made time to get creative with my nails again! I've put on a marble accent nail, which is actually super simple to do.
I've started off with a white basis for my accent nail, and then I used a plastic wrap with blue nail polish on to lay a first asymmetric layer of blue polish.
Next I put a drop of nail polish in some water and sprayed hair spray over it. The result might seem a bit gross, but after cleaning it up a bit you get another layer of asymmetric polish on your nail. In the example the nail polish is a bit thick, but this all depends on how the layer of polish in your water reacts to the hair spray.
Then I removed some of the excess blue polish, to soften te look a bit. Because the polish still looked a bit harsh, I put another layer of white polish on my nails, just like I did with the blue polish before.
And here are the results. I'm super happy with it, because the patterns are so unique.
