My top 3 trends of the moment

Lately I've spotted several trends I'm absolutely loving. Usually the winter trends aren't my cup of tea (more of a summer girl here!), but this winter I've already seen quite some cool stuff coming up! Today I'll show you my top three favorite trends of the moment.😄

Books to read when it's too cold outside

I've always been an avid reader: whenever I could, I would be reading. During my studies I lost my appetite for reading: being forced to read certain well known books that didn't interest me at all was horrible for me. After having finished studying I didn't take up a book as much as I would want to, but this changed when I made reading one book a month one of my dreams for 2017. Over the last ten months I (re)read some really good books, which would be perfect to read this winter, under a blanket and with a hot chocolate.😉

Outfit under €100: Online Shopping

Back in 2012 I truly discovered online shopping. It all started with a dress and metallic nail wraps from ASOS, and since then I've bought so many clothes and nail art stuff online! It has diminished over the years (or faded out completely in the case of the nail art stuff), but ever since I discovered the magic world of the easy ASOS returns, I'm back at it at full speed. And that's how I got this idea to buy a complete outfit online.

Instadiary

Lately I've been posting a lot more on my Instagram account again. I've had a super fulfilling period where my whole feed was blue-ish. A fried of my even noticed, so she was kind of impressed and I was kind of proud. 😃

OOTD: Bordeaux-ing

Last summer we spent some wonderful days in beautiful Bordeaux. We actually decided very last-minute we would stay a few days in the city, which turned out to be a very good idea. It's such a fun city to spend a few days, there's a lot of culture and the wine is super good. Add sunshine to this all and our holiday couldn't go wrong.

NOTD: marble nails (tutorial)

I've always loved a bit of artistic nail art, as early readers of the blog might remember. The past two years or so I haven't had much time to do much nail arting, but finally I've found made time to get creative with my nails again! I've put on a marble accent nail, which is actually super simple to do.

Fitbit: yay or nay?

One of my dreams of 2017 was running four races. A quite stubborn knee injury decided otherwise. Since I quickly felt less fit I decided to buy an activity tracker, the Fitbit Flex 2. I bought that version because it doesn't have a screen so I can still wear my watches.

OOTD: Indian Summer

It always surprises me how quickly the summer passes. It feels like only yesterday that summer started and the boyf and I embarked on a flight to Crete. I've done so many things, had so many wonderful opportunities, and made so many wonderful memories. But I'm not ready to let go of that feeling just yet, and luckily the weather isn't either!

OOTD: Crete

As you might have read about I went to Crete for 48 hours. The second thing I did when I realized we were going on a sunny holiday was going through my wardrobe to see what I would wear. I decided to wear two dresses that had been laying in the back of my wardrobe for ages. Such a shame!

5 tips for travelling with hand luggage only

The last few years, I've barely checked in my luggage when I flew. For longer trips overseas I would always check in my luggage. However, when we went to Croatia for ten days we decided to travel with hand luggage only. And last weekend when we went to Crete we could fit everything in a hand luggage suitcase, even with all the clothes I brought. If you're planning on travelling with hand luggage only any time soon, I've got five tips for you.

48 hours in Crete

Last weekend, the boyf and I went to Crete for two days with tickets I had won. It's always fun to win something, but winning flight tickets was really awesome! It was a super last-minute holiday (contest on Friday, leaving the next Friday) and we were completely unprepared when we arrived there. We managed to make it an amazing holiday anyway, with some culture, some sightseeing, some beach time and lots of good food! Everything that makes me happy, that is!

OOTD: Pastels

I'm a big lover of pastel colours, both in my clothes as on my nails. I've recently bought a pair of pastel shoes, and I've worn them SO much the last few weeks! They're perfect for walking around on the warm spring evenings of the past weeks, and on one of these walks we decided to take pictures of my outfit. And not only my shoes, but large part of my outfit happened to be in paste!

S/S Hair Care

The weather has already been good this week, and for the next week it will become better again. You really can feel summer is getting closer! Summer definitely is my favourite season: the good weather, the bunch of sunshine, swimming outdoors, getting together with friends the whole time. One downside to the good summer weather is the damage it can do to your hair. The past few years I've been searching how to reduce the damage as much as possible, so why not share what I've learnt?

Instadiary

If you love posting pictures on Instagram as much as I do, you'll love looking back at them too. Even though I haven't been posting as much as I used to, scrolling through my pictures instantly made me regret that even more. So here are the ones that made me the happiest when looking back at them!

Dreams of 2017: update

I can't believe we're already at the end of April! It really seems like yesterday we were celebrating the new year. Over the past months I've tried hard to work on my dreams of 2017. I've encountered some bumps on the road, but I'm not giving up on them yet. Some dreams are going relatively well, while others haven't had that much attention yet.
